Christopher P. Hill, RFC®, President and CEO
Christopher P. Hill, RFC® has been employed in the financial services industry for more than twenty-two years. Chris graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. While in college, he worked as an intern at PaineWebber as a stockbroker’s assistant for three years.
After graduating college in 1990, Chris opened and managed a Branch Office in the Washington, D.C. area for one of the nation’s leading wealth management firms. For over a decade Chris worked closely with their Senior Portfolio Manager, who had more than forty years’ experience working as a full-time stock market professional.
It was this experience that helpted Chris to learn a great deal about the historical patterns and trends of the stock market, investor’s psychological response to stimuli, and the market’s major influences. After his office grew to become their largest national division, Chris was promoted to National Wholesaler and ultimately Vice-President of Marketing and Sales.
In 2007, Chris seized the opportunity to establish Wealth and Income Group, LLC, an independently-owned financial services firm. The firm has six Virginia Branch Offices in Roanoke, Stephens City, Chantilly, and Tysons Corner.
Samuel C. Benson, Partner, Director of Client Relations
Samuel (Sam) Benson has more than a decade of broad-based experience as an insurance and financial services professional. Sam is passionate about assisting our team and clients with their financial needs.
After graduating from the University of Mississippi in 2001, Sam began his career working as a commercial credit specialist in North Carolina with Dun and Bradstreet.
In 2007, Sam seized an excellent career opportunity to relocate to Roanoke and work with Allstate, one of the nation’s leading financial services companies.
Soon after joining Allstate, Sam was quickly promoted to an Agency Manager, where he gained a deep understanding and perspective on assisting families with a wide variety of important financial and retirement planning matters.
Some of the areas Sam has specialized in previously, include helping clients and families included car/home/umbrella insurance, business and commercial insurance, life and disability insurance, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
Sam currently serves as the Vice-President of the Roanoke County Police Foundation, and is actively involved in his church and community.
Sam’s greatest blessings are his wife Kristin, precious daughter Elin, and their three dogs. He also enjoys playing the guitar, golfing, and continuing his lifelong pursuit of excelling as a professional, Christian, husband, and father.
Given Sam’s background and experience, it is easy to see why he is a fantastic asset to our firm, our team, and most importantly, the clients and families we are privileged to serve.
Terrie Onishenko, Roanoke Office Manager
Terrie Onishenko has been in the Financial Services Industry for more than 16 years. She began her career working as a personal assistant to several top performing financial advisors. Her organizational, administrative and marketing skills were significant to advisors in helping them maintain their success and exemplary client services.
Terrie served as a marketing director for 5 years at a top financial firm. Although her marketing career was rewarding, she found her true passion is supporting financial professionals to build a successful practice in financial planning, insurance protection and designing events and seminars to provide education workshops to customers. She holds a life, health and annuity license with the State of Virginia and is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Terrie is highly energetic and well organized. Her goal is to make a difference in managing and maintaining a highly respected customer oriented practice. She prides herself in making a difference through educating and empowering families on building plans that work under all circumstances, and also create an everlasting legacy.
Terrie is from a military family, and has traveled the world. She currently resides in Southwest Roanoke, and truly values her faith, family, and friends. She enjoys spending time with family and grandchildren.
Her interest are spending time at Smith Mountain Lake boating, shooting pool and visiting wineries around the Roanoke Valley.

Chris has also been a regular editor and contributor to various newsletters, publications, and magazines, and received the “The Editor of the Year Award” in 2008 and 2009 for his article contributions to IARFC’s Magazine “The Register “.
After losing his mother in 2008, Chris was inspired to become the Founder of FuneralResources.com and MemorialTechnology.com. In addition to serving as a Community Outreach Coordinator, these online educational resource centers were specifically designed to assist families in making a difficult situation easier and, more importantly, proactively encourage and promote End of Life Celebration Planning.
Chris is also fortunate that his father has been employed as a financial services professional for over forty-five years, and is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager and Corporate Vice-President for UBS Financial Services in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
